Dayforce Inc., a global human capital management provider, announced the successful completion of the first phase of its global payroll and workforce management implementation with Orica Ltd. (ORI), a global mining and infrastructure solutions provider.
The initial phase, completed in less than 12 months, encompasses 13 countries across Asia Pacific & Japan, Africa, Latin America, and North America.
Orica collaborated with implementation partners Deloitte and Think Best Practice to leverage the Dayforce platform’s single data architecture.
This consolidation of disparate systems worldwide aims to deliver a comprehensive cloud HCM experience for Orica’s global workforce.
Orica VP of HR Operations Stacey Brewer highlighted the importance of compliance and user experience in their selection of Dayforce, stating: “As a highly unionised, global company, we need a solution that meets compliance requirements across 47 countries, whilst providing a consistent global user experience.
“Dayforce understands our unique challenges and provides a customised platform to help engage our people, optimise payroll, and strengthen compliance.”
Orica employees have embraced the new system, with stronger-than-expected adoption rates.
The convenience of the Dayforce mobile app, physical clocks, and on-site Dayforce-enabled tablets has enhanced user experience and reduced administrative burdens for Orica’s payroll leads while providing employees improved access to leave and payroll information.
Dayforce, Inc. — Asia Pacific & Japan — Managing Director Brian Donn expressed pride in the partnership with Orica: “We’re incredibly proud of our partnership with Orica and all that we’ve achieved in less than one year. Amid a global implementation of extensive size and scale, we would like to congratulate Orica for successfully delivering the first phase of the project, including global payroll across multiple geographies.”
Upon completion of the implementation, more than 12,500 Orica employees across 47 countries will leverage the Dayforce platform, further enhancing their human capital management capabilities.
