Infinity Mining Limited (ASX:IMI) has received encouraging gold results from its recently completed reverse circulation drilling program in the Central Goldfields, around the Leonora gold mining district of Western Australia.
The RC drilling program totalled 37 holes over 3,851 metres and was completed in early March 2023 at five of Infinity’s wholly owned projects, including Victor Bore, Great Northern, Barlow’s Gully, Camel, and Coppermine.
RC gold assay results at Great Northern returned several significant intercepts including:
3 metres at 2.9 grams per tonne gold from 64 metres, including 1 metre at 7.49 g/t gold from 65 metres
2 metres at 1.86 g/t gold from 79 metres, including 1 metre at 3.53 g/t gold from 79 metres
2 metres at 1.86 g/t gold from 72 metres, including 1 metre at 3.58 g/t gold from 73 metres
Two RC holes drilled at Great Northern indicate that gold mineralisation continues at depth, with additional exploration to be undertaken.
Results from Barlow’s Gully included 1 metre at 3.54 g/t gold from 12 metres; and 1 metre at 1.66 g/t gold from 50 metres.
RC gold and base metal assay results from Camel and Coppermine returned some anomalous gold and base metal intervals of up to 0.41 g/t gold.
Infinity Chief Executive Officer Joe Groot said the RC drilling completed earlier in the year had returned some excellent results.
Groot said: “This is particularly evident at Victor Bore, where 13 of the 16 holes returned anomalous assays over 1 g/t gold, with maximum 1-metre assay of 21.86 g/t Au in hole VB23RC010.
“Additional data is currently being interpreted by our exploration team, which will in turn be used to plan further drilling at several high value targets across multiple projects later this year.”
