Resolution Minerals Ltd announced today its formal invitation by His Excellency, The Hon Dr. Kevin Rudd AC, Australia’s Ambassador to the United States, to provide a detailed briefing on the company’s Horse Heaven Gold-Antimony-Tungsten Project in Idaho, U.S.
The briefing is scheduled as a key preparatory engagement before the upcoming meeting between Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and US President Donald Trump on Thursday, October 20, 2025, in Washington D.C.
The Horse Heaven Project, notable for its multi-commodity prospectivity including gold, antimony, and tungsten — all listed on the US Critical Minerals List — is located adjacent to Perpetua Resources’ Stibnite Antimony and Gold Mine, which has a market capitalisation of approximately $3 billion.
This positioning enhances its role in supporting the growing partnership between Australia and the US aimed at strengthening domestic supply chains for critical minerals.
The inclusion of Horse Heaven in the official briefing materials highlights the Australian government’s recognition of Resolution Minerals’ contribution to advancing secure and responsible mineral supply chains, aligning with US efforts to establish a domestic antimony supply critical for defence and industrial applications.

This engagement represents a significant milestone for Resolution, emphasising Horse Heaven’s strategic importance to the US critical minerals supply chain and the broader bilateral collaboration on resource security.
Antimony and tungsten, both pivotal to US national security, are included in the 2025 US Draft Critical Minerals List issued by the Department of the Interior.
These minerals are indispensable for defence and advanced manufacturing sectors.
The US government is actively accelerating domestic critical minerals projects through expedited permitting, funding, and equity participation, initiatives poised to propel projects like Horse Heaven that fortify the US industrial base and reinforce its alliance with Australia.
The Horse Heaven Project encompasses 729 federal lode mining claims spanning approximately 14,580 acres and includes multiple past-producing antimony, tungsten, and gold mines.
Key exploration targets include the Golden Gate and Antimony Ridge prospects, with shallow historic drilling confirming surface mineralisation.
Located near Cascade, Idaho, Horse Heaven benefits from its proximity to major infrastructure and its adjacency to Perpetua Resources’ Stibnite Gold Project, a world-class deposit anticipated to be one of the largest high-grade, low-cost gold mines in the US.
The historic Stibnite mine produced significant quantities of gold, antimony, and tungsten during World War II and the Korean War, accounting for 90 per cent of total US antimony production at the time.
Resolution Minerals recently completed its Phase 1 drilling campaign at Horse Heaven and is analysing results.
A comprehensive exploration program is underway, including stream sediment sampling, geological mapping, and rock chip testing, with progress updates forthcoming.
The company’s briefing ahead of the high-profile Australia-US summit underscores the critical role of Horse Heaven in securing vital mineral supply chains for both nations’ industrial and defence sectors.
