Resolution Minerals Ltd. has been granted a FAST-41 status to its Golden Gate tungsten-gold project in Idaho, US.
The decision marks Resolution’s second FAST-41 designation this year, following the approval of its Antimony Ridge project in April.
Holding two separate fast-tracked assets within its 15,000-acre Horse Heaven critical metals platform positions the company uniquely within the North American critical minerals sector.
FAST-41 is a high-priority federal framework designed to accelerate the development of critical infrastructure and raw materials projects that align with US national security interests.
Backed by a presidential executive order to boost domestic production and curb reliance on foreign adversaries, the program streamlines approvals through rigorous inter-agency coordination.
Importantly, the US Forest Service plans to permit both the Antimony Ridge and Golden Gate plans of operations under a single environmental review process, drastically shortening the development timeline.
The Golden Gate project hosts the past-producing Golden Gate Tungsten Mine, which historic records show yielded high-grade tungsten of up to 2 per cent between 1952 and 1980.
Situated directly adjacent to Perpetua Resources’ recently approved AU$3.5 billion Stibnite Gold Project, the district is rapidly emerging as a primary strategic hub for American critical metals.
Resolution’s US Operations CEO, Craig Lindsay, highlighted the strategic value of the dual FAST-41 designations.
“I am not aware of any other critical metals company with two FAST-41 projects, which I believe is a mark of the potential importance of Horse Heaven in the US achieving its goal of developing domestic supplies of both antimony and tungsten,” Lindsay said.
Golden Gate represents a key piece of Resolution’s broader strategy to develop a U.S.-based critical minerals platform.
Resolution will work closely with its primary permitting authority, the US Forest Service, to advance the Golden Gate plan of operations through the FAST-41 process.
Following approval, the company intends to commence a significant drill campaign intended to both increase the drill coverage of the Golden Gate North and Golden Gate South targets and confirm whether the gold and tungsten mineralisation is linked geologically.
Initial assay results from its fully funded Phase 2 exploration program are expected by late July.
