Terrain Minerals Ltd. has reported assay results from its latest reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Lightning gold prospect in Western Australia, with results confirming high-grade gold continuity.
The drilling campaign comprised 29 holes for 5,309 metres. Standout intercepts from the program include 8 metres at 6.87 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 76 metres, including a 5-metre zone at 10.06 g/t and 7 metres at 7.08 g/t gold from 217 metres, including a high-grade 1-metre hit of 21.80 g/t.
The results confirm that high-grade gold mineralisation is continuous along strike and at depth, further suggesting that the system is both larger and more complex than previously anticipated.
Terrain Minerals Executive Director Justin Virgin stated that the results align with the company’s expectations and advance the company’s confidence in the broader Smokebush project area.
“These results are exactly what we expected to see,” Virgin said.
“The drilling has confirmed that the high-grade gold mineralisation at Lightning extends along strike and at depth, with multiple holes returning wide, high-grade intercepts across the Lightning gold system.”
Geological interpretation indicates that the gold is hosted within steeply dipping, shear-hosted structures. While Terrain has already defined two primary structures, the Lightning and Monza zones, recent data from the base of several drill holes suggests the potential emergence of a third mineralised structure, which the company intends to test in upcoming programs.
The Lightning drill database has now grown to approximately 16,000 metres across 101 holes, providing a robust dataset for the upcoming maiden JORC-compliant Mineral Resource Estimate.
As the company awaits further results from diamond core and silver assays, the project continues to benefit from its location within a historically productive gold district.
With the necessary Mining Lease (M59/0796) already secured, Terrain Minerals is moving rapidly toward its July 2026 target for the resource declaration, aiming to confirm Lightning as a cornerstone of its Western Australian exploration portfolio.
“Lightning sits in a historically productive gold district with existing infrastructure, and our grade profile continues to compare favourably with other deposits in the region,” Virgin said.
“With a Mining Lease in hand and a clear July 2026 resource timeline, we believe Lightning is well-positioned to become a significant asset in this district.”
