Victory Metals Ltd. has signed a landmark native title agreement with the Wajarri Yamaji Aboriginal Corporation (WYAC) for the North Stanmore project in Western Australia, a key development for the project.
The agreement secures vital Traditional Owner consent and land access arrangements and was authorised by the Minangu Land Committee Common Law holders.
Located approximately six kilometres north of Cue, the North Stanmore project is expected to become a significant contributor to Australia’s critical minerals pipeline.
Victory Metals had previously announced a robust mineral resource estimate (MRE) for North Stanmore, totalling 320.6 million tonnes, with most of the resource classified in the indicated category.
Securing the native title agreement clears the primary regulatory hurdle required for the Western Australian Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety to formally grant the project’s Mining Licence.
The Wajarri Yamaji People are the recognised native title holders of a vast 85,000 square kilometre determination spanning the Murchison and Gascoyne regions.
Victory Metals CEO Brendan Clark said: “Reaching agreement with the Wajarri Yamaji People is a significant milestone for North Stanmore and one we have approached with diligence, care and respect.
“We are grateful to the Minangu Land Committee Common Law holders and to WYAC for their constructive engagement, and we look forward to continuing to work together as we advance North Stanmore through the pre-feasibility study towards development.”
The formal sign-off adds strong momentum to the project’s development timeline. It directly supports the orderly progression of Victory’s ongoing pre-feasibility study and follows closely on the heels of a previously announced US$190 million letter of intent from the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM), underscoring the global value of the deposit.
