First Au Ltd. has entered into a binding agreement with TechGen Metals to acquire two exploration licences comprising the Ida Valley gold project in Western Australia.
Under the transaction terms, First Au will acquire 100 per cent of the tenure for a total consideration of AU$200,000. This comprises a AU$100,000 cash exclusivity fee and AU$100,000 in fully paid ordinary First Au shares.
The share price will be determined using the 15-day volume-weighted average price (VWAP) before completion.
Completion remains subject to customary shareholder, regulatory, and ministerial approvals.
The acquisition is consistent with First Au’s approach of building a portfolio of Western Australian gold assets with an accelerated pathway to resource definition.
“The acquisition of highly prospective exploration tenure in the Eastern Goldfields region from TechGen Metals Limited continues the company’s strategy to further build and develop our existing project hubs with strategically placed acquisitions,” said Executive Chairman Daniel Raihani.
“Ida Valley attracted us due to its relatively well-progressed exploration activity and strong potential for further development.”
Located within Western Australia’s emerging Ida Fault district, the project sits along the Ballard Fault near its convergence with the Ida Fault.
The geological setting is predominantly defined by prospective Archean greenstone sequences, including komatiite and porphyry units with metamorphosed sedimentary inclusions striking north-west.
The transaction includes a substantial historical drilling database covering the Ida Valley and Pinnacles prospects.
By acquiring an advanced target with extensive prior drilling rather than starting from a greenfields position, First Au can focus near-term capital directly on data validation and review.
This approach provides a rapid and cost-effective pathway towards establishing a maiden JORC-compliant mineral resource.
Following transaction completion, First Au will immediately begin systematic data validation across both prospects to outline a maiden JORC-compliant Mineral Resource and prepare for targeted follow-up drilling.
