Marimaca Copper will raise C$409 million (AU$423 million) to advance its flagship Marimaca project in Chile through a Canadian and Australian offering.
The company will launch a Canadian treasury offering of C$136.5 million worth of 13.65 million common shares at C$10 per share and a C$120.5 million secondary offering of 12.04 million shares owned by the Greenstone Group.
Concurrently, the company will complete a AU$157 million Australian secondary offering of CHESS depository interests priced at A$10.35 per CDI controlled by Greenstone and other shareholders.
The Canadian treasury offering represents gross proceeds of C$136.5 million. The Canadian and Australian secondary offerings together represent gross proceeds of C$272.5 million or AU$282 million.
Following the closing of the global offering, Greenstone Group will own 6.44 per cent of the company, a decrease in shareholding from 18.58 per cent.
The funds raised in the offering will be used for pre-construction decision engineering workstreams and early site works for the Marimaca project,
the company’s flagship location in Antofagasta, Chile – one of the world’s premier mining jurisdictions.
The project hosts the Marimaca Oxide deposit with maiden proven and probable reserves at 178.6 million tonnes with an average grade of 0.42 per cent copper or 750,000 tonnes of contained copper, based on measured and indicated resources.
The project is now rapidly advancing towards a final investment decision in the second half 2026, with the intention of becoming Chile’s newest green copper mine.
