RocketDNA Ltd (ASX: RKT) has secured additional purchase orders from BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) for the operation of six dual SurveyBot units, extending the contract from 1 January to 30 June 2026.
The total contract value for this extension is approximately $1 million.
The new purchase orders build on an earlier $450,000 order announced in September, which covered operations from October 2025 through June 2026.
Together, these orders reflect a deepening partnership between RocketDNA and BMA, one of the world’s leading mining operators.
All purchase orders involve the ongoing deployment of RocketDNA’s xBot® platform, which is complemented by SiteTube® software integration.
This combined technology delivers real-time geospatial data critical for mine planning, geology, and environmental management teams within the mining operations.
RocketDNA Managing Director and CEO Chris Clark highlighted the significance of the contract extension, emphasising the reliability and effectiveness of the company’s autonomous drone technology in operational environments.
“This contract extension reinforces the strong performance of our xBot and SiteTube platforms in live mine environments,” Clark said.
“It highlights the confidence major miners have in RocketDNA’s autonomous drone technology and data delivery capabilities.”
The xBot platform, with its dual SurveyBot units, helps streamline the capture and delivery of accurate spatial data.
SiteTube software integration further enhances data accessibility and usability for operational teams, supporting improved decision-making in complex mining conditions.
This latest contract represents a substantial validation of RocketDNA’s technology and its growing reputation within the mining sector.
The company is poised to leverage this momentum as it expands its market presence and technological solutions.
RocketDNA’s expanding relationship with BMA also underscores the increasing adoption of autonomous technologies in mining, aimed at enhancing efficiency, safety, and environmental management.
By integrating real-time geospatial data, mining operators can optimise planning and reduce risks associated with traditional surveying methods.
The partnership extension and RocketDNA’s leadership in autonomous data delivery reaffirm the company’s commitment to advancing mining operations through cutting-edge solutions that enhance productivity and operational insight.
