Generation Mining Limited (TSX: GENM, OTCQB: GENMF) has announced a significant change in its management team.
Drew Anwyll, the company’s Chief Operating Officer, will be departing effective February 28, 2025.
The responsibilities of the COO will be distributed among existing members of Gen Mining’s technical team, ensuring a smooth transition.
Drew Anwyll joined Generation Mining in March 2020 and has been instrumental in advancing the company’s flagship Marathon Project.
During his tenure, Anwyll guided the project through critical phases, including feasibility studies and the environmental impact assessment process.
Jamie Levy, President and CEO of Generation Mining, expressed gratitude for Anwyll’s contributions, stating: “Drew played a key role in advancing the company’s Marathon Project through feasibility studies and the environmental impact assessment process.
“Over the past five years, he has been supported by a strong team of professionals who will continue to advance the Marathon Project through permitting and development activities.”
The company’s leadership emphasised that the Marathon Project will continue to progress under the guidance of key team members.
Paul Murphy, VP of Projects, brings 35 years of construction and engineering experience to the table, having held senior positions with G Mining Services, Centerra Gold, and IAMGOLD.
Ruben Wallin, VP of Sustainability, contributes valuable expertise from his previous roles at Placer Dome, De Beers Canada, Barrick, Osisko, and Detour Gold.
This management change comes at a crucial time for Generation Mining as it continues to develop the Marathon Project, a significant copper-palladium deposit.
The company’s focus remains on advancing the project through its next phases of permitting and development.
