Auma manufactures electric actuators and secondary gearing sets for very large valves, in mines, water treatment, hydro electric, stored energy or power installations. All of the parts for the actuators and gearboxes are machined in house, without relying on third party vendors. The actuators may be combined with AC2 or ACV integral controls.

The AC2 or ACV controls may be supplied with access to allow operation by digital signals, analogue signals or indeed any of the major 2 wire fieldbus systems.

Generally the interfaces are already onboard and may be enabled by a software key.

The allowance of both digital and analogue inputs can be accessed by a mode signal with is generally 24vdc.

All of the digital inputs and digital outputs are configurable for any of the onboard functions and in addition may be coded low active or high active.

There is available a version V which has variable speed operation. This is useful when requiring precise positioning and at the same time having a fast emergency response speed available.
