Adavale Resources Limited (ASX:ADD), an Australian explorer focused on gold and copper, has commenced its maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the London Victoria Gold Mine, located in New South Wales’ highly prospective Lachlan Fold Belt.
The 10-hole, 2,200-metre campaign is designed to target shallow extensions of known mineralisation, with the primary goal of increasing the current JORC Inferred Mineral Resource Estimate of 3.14 million tonnes at 1.06 grams per tonne gold for 107,000 ounces.
The program marks Adavale’s first major gold-focused exploration activity since acquiring the Parkes Project in January 2025.
Specialist drilling contractor DRILLIT has been mobilised to the site near Parkes to execute the campaign, which is expected to be completed within approximately two weeks.
All samples will be sent for assay to ALS Laboratory in Orange.
A secondary objective of the drilling is to test for high-grade dilation veins, similar to those found at the nearby Koh-I-Nor Mine, which historically produced gold at grades up to 43.8 grams per tonne.
The campaign will specifically evaluate three mineralised boudins and assess the potential for these high-grade structures, located just 2.7 kilometres east of London Victoria.
Adavale Executive Chairman and CEO, Allan Ritchie, emphasised the significance of the campaign:
“The maiden drilling program at London Victoria is a significant milestone, marking the first gold-focused drilling program to be conducted by Adavale at its Parkes Project, which was only acquired in January 2025.
“The Adavale team have all been working swiftly and systematically, with our landholders, consultants and contractors to reach this point and anticipate exciting results from this campaign.”
Beyond the current drilling, Adavale is advancing multiple exploration initiatives across the broader Parkes Project.
These include defining an Exploration Target from the recent JORC Inferred Resource, planning further geochemical surveys — particularly at Parkvale South, identified as a high-priority area — and conducting reconnaissance at additional prospects such as The Dish and areas on EL8830 and EL8831.
The Parkes Project is situated in a Tier-1 mining jurisdiction within the Macquarie Arc, adjacent to major copper-gold operations such as Cadia Ridgeway and Northparkes, positioning Adavale to benefit from both favourable geology and infrastructure.
