Right Resources Limited (ASX: RRE) has released assay results from its Pilot Project at Tumbarumba, New South Wales, confirming the project sits within the transitional halo of a Reduced Intrusive Related Gold System (RIRGS), a large-scale gold system type characterised by high-grade proximal cores surrounded by lower-grade peripheral mineralisation.
Results from drill holes RRPT0001 and RRPT0004 are consistent with the preliminary geological model developed by CODES (Centre for Ore Deposit and Earth Sciences, University of Tasmania), a globally recognised research group specialising in large-scale ore deposit systems.
The model, which informed the company’s exploration strategy since its announcement on 26 May 2026, predicted that early drilling would intersect transitional halo material before reaching the high-grade core zone.
The proximal Au–Bi–Te–W core (the primary focus of the RIRGS model) remains untested and represents the company’s priority exploration target.
The presence of historic high-grade production averaging approximately 38 grams per tonne gold from the broader Tumbarumba region demonstrates that significantly elevated grades are achievable within the system, providing a compelling benchmark for future drilling success.
Assay grades returned from RRPT0001 and RRPT0004 reflect the drill holes’ positions within the outer halo, consistent with gold hosted in low-frequency quartz veins associated with arsenic — a geochemical signature the CODES model predicted for this zone.
The company emphasises that these results are expected and do not represent the grade potential of the overall system.
Analytical variability between Fire Assay and PhotonAssay methods (including an interval of 8.55 metres grading 0.2 grams per tonne gold by Fire Assay compared to 0.3 grams per tonne by PhotonAssay, and a peak Fire Assay value of 5 grams per tonne rising to 6.46 grams per tonne under PhotonAssay) points to a high-nugget gold distribution.
This characteristic, where gold occurs in coarse, unevenly distributed particles, is associated with significant grade upside and is consistent with the RIRGS model framework.
Despite the early-stage nature of drilling, a large and coherent mineralised system has already been defined.
Gold-bearing quartz veining has been intersected across approximately 70 metres of strike within a total system footprint measuring 2.4 kilometres by 2.9 kilometres, confirming the presence of a substantial mineralised system at depth.
A third drill hole, RRPT0002, has intersected major northeast-trending fault structures within the northwestern portion of the MTPR02 geophysical anomaly target area.
Core logging and assay testing are underway to evaluate the role of these structural corridors in controlling and potentially upgrading mineralisation, with results pending.
The company’s exploration strategy remains focused on vector drilling toward the untested high-grade core zone, with the current results serving to validate the RIRGS model and refine targeting for future holes.
