Ausmon Resources Ltd. has kicked off field-based exploration for base metals across its Enmore project, situated south of Broken Hill in western New South Wales.
The field exploration campaign focuses on exploration licence 9220 (EL 9220), which covers 341 square kilometres within the highly prospective Curnamona Province.
Field teams have initiated systematic soil sampling on a 250-metre by 250-metre grid across two key target areas: the Pine Creek and West Enmore prospects.
Collected samples will undergo initial on-site geochemical screening using an Olympus Delta handheld portable X-ray fluorescence analyser.
Any samples indicating elevated base metal values will be dispatched to the ALS laboratory in Adelaide for comprehensive gold and multi-element testing.
The Enmore tenement sits within the Thackaringa Group and an underlying gneissic sequence located stratigraphically below the famous Broken Hill Group, host to the world-class Broken Hill lead-zinc-silver orebody.
Geologically, the area is dominated by the Redan Gneiss in the east alongside the Edna, Farmcote, Mulcula, and Cues Formations.
Ausmon selected the Pine Creek and West Enmore targets based on prominent north-east to south-west trending shear zones that intersect favourable rock formations, including surface gossan outcrops.
Geophysics and magnetic imaging confirm that these structural features coincide with linear magnetic highs, pointing to prime targets for potential base metal mineralisation.
Accessible via the sealed Silver City Highway and local station tracks, the field campaign forms part of Ausmon’s broader strategy to identify new mineral discoveries in one of Australia’s most established mining districts.
