Bellevue Gold Ltd. has mined its first ore from the high-grade Deacon North area at its Bellevue gold mine in Western Australia.
The miner said first development ore was mined from Deacon North on schedule in May. This milestone keeps the operation firmly on track with the company’s budgets and production guidance.
Development within this initial level will continue for the remainder of the 2026 financial year, with stoping slated to commence early in the first quarter of fiscal 2027.
Both development and stoping activities are projected to ramp up steadily throughout the upcoming year.
The growing production from Deacon North is set to complement the already established Deacon Main mining area, located immediately to the south along the strike.
Together, the combined output from these adjacent areas is expected to deliver a highly reliable and consistent source of ore, underpinning stable production for FY27 and beyond.
Geological results from early work have strongly validated the company’s modelling. Face sampling from the first 13 production faces revealed that the average development grade is outperforming initial expectations.
On the initial level, the main structure of the Deacon North orebody displays a flatter dip and high quartz content. Data indicates the structure will steepen, with sulphide content and ore grades increasing in subsequent deeper levels.
Grade control drilling has confirmed these positive trends, closely matching resource definition grades and widths. Exceptional highlights from the recent drilling campaign include 6 metres at 32 grams per tonne (g/t) gold and 2.5 metres at 59.1 g/t gold.
With Deacon North now online, all major mining areas at the Bellevue gold mine are in active production.
Alongside established operations at Deacon Main and Viago, the new sector will be a primary driver of the company’s progressive production increases through fiscal 2026 and fiscal 2027.
Exploration also continues at pace, with a second phase of surface drilling underway and a sixth underground diamond rig scheduled to arrive in the June 2026 quarter to boost exploration drilling.
