Benz Mining has reported an additional discovery at its Glenburgh gold project in Western Australia, with new drilling results confirming a high-grade discovery corridor at the Hurricane Camp.
The company has identified a 1,000-metre northeast-plunging fold corridor, which Benz believes is a high-grade system comparable to the existing Zone 126.
This development significantly expands the scale of the Hurricane Camp and presents a major new frontier for resource growth.
Standout intercepts from the latest campaign include 11 metres at 6.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 306 metres in hole 26HZ023, and 2 metres at 19.1g/t gold from 298 metres in hole 26HZ008.
These results highlight the presence of multiple mineralised lenses within a broader corridor and support the potential for both high-grade shoots and bulk-tonnage mineralisation.
Benz CEO, Mark Lynch-Staunton, said the results validate the company’s targeting model and reinforce the repeatability of the high-grade mineralisation across the project.
“Hurricane Camp is expanding rapidly, and these results mark another major step in unlocking the scale of the Glenburgh system,” Lynch-Staunton said.
“What we are seeing now is the emergence of multiple high-grade zones across multiple mineralised NE-plunging corridors.”
In response to these results, Benz has committed two dedicated drilling rigs to accelerate the systematic drill-out of the Hurricane trend, which currently extends over 2.6 kilometres in length.
The company is simultaneously advancing its Icon Camp and preparing for maiden drilling at the Thunderbolt Camp, a largely untested area that has never seen modern exploration.
The Glenburgh project is increasingly shaping up as a district-scale gold system. With active operations across multiple fronts, Benz Mining is focusing on systematically exploring its 80km mineralised trend.
“We believe Glenburgh is evolving into a district-scale gold system, and we are still in the early stages of understanding its full potential.
“With multiple camps, multiple active fronts, and a growing inventory of high-grade zones, we see a clear pathway to continue rapidly adding ounces all on our granted Mining Lease,” Lynch-Staunton said.
