Brightstar Resources has upgraded its overall mineral resource estimate at its Goldfields Hub in Western Australia after it received positive drilling results at the Lord Byron deposit.
After receiving results from its 2025 drilling program at Lord Byron deposit, the company raised its total mineral resource by 6 per cent to 5.4 million tonnes at 1.5 grams of gold for every tonne (g/t Au) for 267,000 ounces.
The company also increased its measured and indicated mineral resources by 8 per cent to 122,000 ounces at 1.6 g/t Au.
Brightstar completed 22 drill holes for approximately 2,000 metres of drilling across two drilling programs in late 2025.
The programs were designed to infill and extend the southern extension of the Lord Byron deposit. The southern lode remains completely open down-dip and along strike to the south.
Results from the second drilling campaign, completed in October 2025, targeted down-dip and down-plunge extensions to the company’s newly highlighted southern lobe and included results of 9m at 3.49 g/t gold from 138m, including 1m at 24.7 g/t gold from 142m and 4m at 6.71 g/t Au from 128m, including 1m at 19.6g/t Au from 129m.
Brightstar Managing Director Alex Rovira said: “We are pleased to report the latest drilling intercepts from the Lord Byron deposit and associated mineral resource update. The drilling is rapidly delineating the shallow extension which remains open to the south. .
“Despite being a relatively modest upgrade, the increased confidence in the south is important for Lord Byron, which remains fully approved for mining operations in 2026, to enable these areas to be incorporated in our upcoming updated mine planning,” Rovira said.
The company will continue to advance the Goldfield hub towards a final investment decision in the March quarter.
