C29 Metals Limited (ASX: C29) has announced a significant milestone in its exploration efforts at the Ulytau Uranium Project in Kazakhstan.
The company has secured approval for Category 4 exploration works, allowing for the immediate commencement of geophysical and soil sampling programs.
This development marks a crucial step forward for C29 Metals as it advances towards drilling operations.
The approval enables the company to launch geophysical surveys, field mapping, and soil sampling across the Ulytau tenement.
Shannon Green, Managing Director of C29 Metals, expressed enthusiasm about the approval, stating: “It is very exciting to have the Category four (4) exploration approval granted enabling our geology team to immediately commence field works in preparation for drilling. This once again demonstrates the positive operating environment in Kazakhstan and the support the company is enjoying.”
The company’s geology team will now begin site-wide mapping and soil sampling, utilising handheld XRF units to provide real-time geological data.
This information will be instrumental in refining potential drill hole targets and selecting appropriate methods for project development.
C29 Metals has also made significant progress in community engagement. The company has established a base of operations in the nearby village of Aksuyek, where it has garnered strong local support.
A Social Support Agreement has been signed, further solidifying ties with the community.
While the Category 4 approval is a significant achievement, C29 Metals is already looking ahead.
The approval process for Category 2 drilling is at an advanced stage, with drilling approvals anticipated in the near future.
The initial geological program will focus on verifying historical shallow high-grade results and assessing the extent of surface outcropping and shallow high-grade uranium across the tenement.
This comprehensive approach underscores C29 Metals’ commitment to thorough exploration and development of the Ulytau Uranium Project.
As C29 Metals continues to make strides in its exploration efforts, the company’s progress at the Ulytau Uranium Project will be closely watched by investors and industry observers alike.
