Critica Limited has updated its maiden Indicated mineral resource Eestimate (MRE) for the Jupiter rare earths project, located within the 100 per cent-owned Brothers project in Western Australia.
The updated MRE delineates 160 million tonnes at 1,700 ppm total rare earth oxide (TREO) in the higher-confidence Indicated category, using a 1,000 ppm TREO lower cut-off grade. The milestone follows a targeted infill drilling program across roughly 3.3 square kilometres, representing approximately 10 per cent of Jupiter’s vast 42-square-kilometre footprint.
The upgraded MRE brings Jupiter’s total combined resource to 1.7 billion tonnes at 1,700 ppm TREO, with 1.5 billion tonnes remaining in the Inferred category. In addition, high-value magnet rare earth oxides (MREO), comprising neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, and terbium, account for approximately 25 per cent of the total TREO within the Indicated portion.
Critica CEO Jacob Deysel said establishing the project’s first Indicated resource confirms the geological and grade continuity of the clay-hosted deposit.
“The results provide increased confidence in the geological and grade continuity of the infill-drilled area, while the vast majority of the Jupiter Resource remains classified as Inferred,” he said.
“This gives us confidence in our approach to progressively increasing Resource confidence across Jupiter.”
The selection of the 1,000 ppm TREO lower cut-off grade reflects the shallow, consistent nature of the deposit, preliminary metallurgical testing, and benchmarking against peer clay-hosted rare earth developments.
The MRE update incorporates all drilling completed up to March with a data cut-off date of July.
Technical work streams are continuing to progress, with Critica expecting to release a formal scoping study for the Jupiter project shortly.
The company is progressing two Australian critical minerals supplying commodities used in defence, semiconductors and AI.
