Golden Horse Minerals has reported assay results from its first regional reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Marionete-Star of Ennuin trend, confirming over 300 meters of mineralised strike with multiple high-grade shallow gold intersections.
The program comprised 20 holes totalling 1,263 metres and verified high-grade mineralisation in the shallow subsurface, indicating a significant gold system along this trend.
Results from key drill holes included 10 meters at 6.8 g/t Au from 5 metres downhole, including 1 meter at 37.5 g/t Au, and other intercepts with grades up to 8.9 g/t Au from shallow depths.
The drill testing targeted and extended mineralisation between historical workings at Marionete and Star of Ennuin, and assay results suggest that mineralisation remains open both at depth and along strike.
Specific results include:
- GHMARC013: 10m @ 6.8 g/t Au from 5m, including 4m @ 7.2 g/t and 1m @ 37.5 g/t from 14m
- GHMARC017R: 5m @ 5.6 g/t Au from 11m, including 3m @ 8.9 g/t from 12m
- Additional high-grade intersections like 4m @ 4.5 g/t from 44m, 2m @ 7.2 g/t from 23m, and 3m @ 3.6 g/t from 29m
Other prospects, Baby Queen and Lakeview, have also been drill tested with assays pending.
The RC rig was redeployed to the Hopes Hill Project to complete pre-collars for ongoing diamond drilling onsite as part of a broader exploration effort across Golden Horse’s more than 1,800 km² tenure in the Southern Cross region.
The company plans aggressive RC drilling programs throughout 2026 to further test regional prospects.
Golden Horse’s Managing Director Nicholas Anderson said: “We’re thrilled to report that our inaugural RC drill program has returned multiple shallow mineralised intersections at the Marionete-Star of Ennuin trend, including a +1oz/t intercept in hole GMARC013 from 14m.
“Most excitingly, this program only tested a 300m long zone which forms part of a broader +800m corridor of potential mineralisation which hosts very similar geology to the drill tested area.”
Anderson expressed strong enthusiasm regarding the Marionete and Star of Ennuin drilling results, stating their geologists are eager to return and test an additional 500 metres of potential strike and depth extensions, which are set for early drilling in 2026 given the excellent results to date.
He also highlighted their anticipation for the assay outcomes from Baby Queen and Lake View, where recent RC drilling has been completed.
Anderson noted that the regional drilling program is progressing as planned and that they expect to conclude their spring regional campaign strongly, with more updates forthcoming.
Additionally, the RC rig has returned to the Hopes Hill Project to finish pre-collars for ongoing diamond drilling, promising a steady flow of news leading up to Christmas and into early 2026
Golden Horse Minerals is focused on gold exploration in Western Australia’s highly prospective Southern Cross region.
The Marionete and Star of Ennuin prospects have a historical production record with high-grade gold mineralisation, and the recent drilling program confirms the extension of these mineralised zones beyond previous workings, supporting the company’s goal of delineating a significant gold system.
The Southern Cross area is well-known for gold mining, hosting numerous deposits in Archean greenstone belts that have long attracted exploration interest due to their rich endowment of gold.
This successful initial RC program complements ongoing efforts at the Hopes Hill Project, where both reverse circulation and diamond drilling are underway to test extensions of known mineralisation at depth and strike.
With promising initial assays and an aggressive 2026 drilling schedule planned, Golden Horse appears well-positioned to advance its exploration portfolio in this prolific gold district.
