Golden Horse has announced further strong drill results from its ongoing exploration campaign in the Southern Cross region, with recent diamond and RC drilling continuing to highlight the quality and scale of the company’s Hopes Hill asset.
The results also mark the completion of regional drilling at Hakes Find, as the rig now mobilises to Marionete for the next phase of the program.
Diamond drilling at Hopes Hill continues to yield promising outcomes, with assays now received from the second diamond hole, 26HHDD002, confirming mineralisation over more than 110 metres below the historic pit.
Key intercepts include 7.1m at 2.5 g/t Au from 178.9m, including 4m at 3.1 g/t Au from 243m.
At Hopes Hill North, several new reverse circulation (RC) drill results have also been received, demonstrating multiple broad and near-surface gold intersections. Highlights include 16m at 1.6 g/t Au from 32m (26HHRC027), 8m at 1.9 g/t Au from 40m (26HHRC042), 10m at 1.2 g/t Au from 27m (26HHRC022), and 12m at 1.0 g/t Au from 60m (26HHRC029).
These results extend the mineralisation envelope beyond 700 metres north of the existing Hopes Hill pit, further supporting the potential for open-pit extensions.
Meanwhile, the company’s 3,350-metre regional drilling program at Hakes Find has been completed, with results expected in the coming weeks.
The rig has since mobilised to the Marionete/Star of Ennuin area to commence an approximately 3,400-metre RC program aimed at confirming and extending the impressive 2025 intersections that included 10m at 6.8 g/t Au from 5m (GHMARC013) and 5m at 5.6 g/t Au from 11m (GHMARC017R).
Golden Horse Managing Director Nicholas Anderson said the results reaffirm the company’s focus on near-surface and extensional opportunities across the Southern Cross Greenstone Belt.
“It is great to be at the Stable in Southern Cross and see the first results of our aggressive +125km drill campaign begin to flow,” said Anderson.
“With 3 RC and 2 Diamond drill rigs running and the sample labs packed tighter than a float on race day, we are expecting plenty of results to feed the members shortly.
“The aggressive selection to actively target conceptual open pit extensions to the north of Hopes Hill is paying dividends, with multiple broad intercepts highlighting the prospectivity of the immediate area and indeed the broader Southern Cross Greenstone Belt.
“We are trying to rein in our excitement for the Year of the Horse, however, some brumbies refuse to be broken.”
Golden Horse’s 2026 exploration campaign totals more than 125 kilometres of RC and diamond drilling, primarily focused on Hopes Hill and select regional prospects.
The dual approach, diamond drilling for deeper structural and assay information, and RC drilling for near-surface mineralisation, has provided a detailed dataset across more than 2.5 kilometres of mineralised strike length at Hopes Hill.
With high drilling productivity from four active rigs, Golden Horse continues to build momentum in advancing its understanding of the Hopes Hill system and broader regional potential within the Southern Cross Greenstone Belt.
