Ramelius Resources Ltd. has signed a Native Title mining agreement with the Kakarra Part B Native Title Holders for the Rebecca-Roe project in Western Australia.
The Native Title mining agreement is a crucial step in securing the development pathway for the gold project, and will expedite initial development and ongoing operation of the project.
Ramelius said the agreement will deliver economic and social benefits for the Kakarra Part B Native Title Holders.
Ramelius Managing Director Mark Zeptner thanked the Native Title holders for the agreement.
“I express our sincere thanks to the Kakarra Part B Native Title Holders leaders and negotiation team who have productively engaged with Ramelius and the efficient and dedicated work of the legal teams from both parties.”
With the agreement in place, Ramelius can now accelerate the Rebecca-Roe project’s other priorities, including work streams and statutory approvals relevant to the optimisation of Rebecca-Roe.
Early works are expected to commence in early 2026.
The Rebecca-Roe project is estimated to produce an average of 130,000 ounces of gold per annum, according to the company’s definitive feasibility study released in October.
The operation is projected to generate AU$1.03 billion in after-tax cash flow.
