Renascor Resources has signed a binding Native Title Mining Agreement for Exploration (NTMA) with the Arabana Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (AAC), an important step towards on-ground exploration at its Marree Project in South Australia.
The AAC serves as the registered prescribed body corporate for the Traditional Owners of Arabana Country. The newly signed agreement establishes a formal framework to safeguard Arabana cultural heritage, establishing clear protocols for upcoming cultural heritage clearance surveys, an important regulatory step before field testing can commence.
Located within South Australia’s Adelaide Rift Complex, the Marree Project portfolio covers three 100 per cent-owned exploration licences and one licence where Renascor is earning up to a 90 per cent interest.
The tenements hold significant potential for shallow copper and uranium deposits, particularly across the Flat Hill and Mulgaria prospect areas.
At Flat Hill, recent high-resolution airborne VTEM geophysical surveys identified several shallow conductive targets between 150 metres and 300 metres deep.
These sit adjacent to historical drill intersections, including 18 metres at 1.57 per cent copper from surface at Breaden Hill and 134 metres at 0.57 per cent copper at Boorloo.
Meanwhile, the Mulgaria prospect features a prominent two-kilometre by one-kilometre radiometric anomaly prospective for near-surface and basement-hosted uranium. Reprocessed airborne survey data revealed a response approximately five times stronger than background regional levels, making it a standout target in the Gawler Craton region.
Renascor Managing Director David Christensen said: “The NTMA with the Arabana Aboriginal Corporation establishes a collaborative partnership built on mutual transparency and respect, ensuring that our activities are fully aligned with the vital preservation and respect of Arabana cultural heritage.
“Recent geophysical modelling from our VTEM survey at Flat Hill has highlighted exceptional, shallow copper targets that represent drill-ready targets, alongside our regional uranium prospects at Mulgaria.”
Renascor will now register the agreement with the South Australian Mining Registrar while collaborating with the AAC to coordinate heritage clearance surveys ahead of drilling.
Concurrently, Renascor will continue to work alongside the AAC to coordinate the upcoming cultural heritage clearance surveys, satisfying core regulatory conditions required to secure final Department for Energy and Mining approvals for on-ground exploration activities.
