Resolution Minerals has secured final approval from the US Forest Service to commence drilling at its Horse Heaven Antimony-Gold-Silver-Tungsten Project in Idaho, marking a pivotal step forward for the company’s US critical minerals strategy.
The regulatory milestone clears the way for a Phase 1 drilling campaign, scheduled to begin in August 2025 following the completion of the project acquisition.
The newly granted permits authorise drilling of up to 57 holes from 19 sites along existing roads. The initial Phase 1 program will focus on the Golden Gate Fault Zone, targeting up to 20 drill holes totalling approximately 20,000 feet.
This area, which extends 3.5 kilometres and lies adjacent to NASDAQ-listed Perpetua Resources’ Stibnite Gold Project, is known for established gold mineralisation and historic tungsten production.
Previous reverse circulation drilling conducted between 1986 and 1994 returned strong gold intercepts, including 36.6 metres at 1.51 grams per tonne gold (GGR-31), 71.6 metres at 1.37 grams per tonne (GGR-32), and 59.4 metres at 1.03 grams per tonne (GGR-33).
Notably, all historic drilling was shallow, terminating at the oxide/sulphide boundary, and the upcoming campaign will be the first to probe deeper mineralisation for gold, antimony, and tungsten.
Craig Lindsay, CEO of U.S. Operations, emphasised the importance of the approval, stating: “The receipt of this approval to conduct drilling operations is transformational for the Horse Heaven Project, and allows for the first new drilling at the project in over 30 years.
“Resolution Minerals is very excited to begin aggressively advancing Horse Heaven, to confirm the presence of a gold resource at Golden Gate, expand known mineralisation and potentially identifying the presence of tungsten and antimony.
Lindsay noted that the Golden Gate Ridge has a legacy of tungsten production from both surface and underground operations, and highlighted the presence of an antimony anomaly running parallel to the Golden Fault Zone.
He also expressed enthusiasm for the project’s future, saying he believes Horse Heaven could be instrumental in helping the United States address its increasing need for domestically sourced critical metals.
In tandem with the regulatory progress, Resolution Minerals confirmed a key acquisition milestone: the vendor, 1503571 B.C., has exercised its option to acquire 100 per cent of the share capital in the project-holding entity.
Completion of Resolution Minerals’ acquisition remains contingent on due diligence and shareholder approval, with a meeting scheduled for July 25, 2025.
The company also announced that 12.5 million shares will be released from escrow on July 17, 2025, and five million options on July 31, 2025.
Additionally, 81.96 million RMLO options are set to expire on July 31, 2025.
