Dateline Resources Limited (ASX: DTR), an Australian explorer advancing its 100 per cent-owned Colosseum Gold and Rare Earth Elements (REE) Project in San Bernardino County, California, has reported exceptional reverse circulation (RC) drilling results from beneath the North Pit, exceeding current indicated mineral resource grades and signalling potential resource upgrades in early 2026.
The latest assays from holes RC25-001 and RC25-004 highlight robust mineralisation continuity at depth within the North Pipe, a key breccia pipe structure in this historic deposit.
These findings bolster confidence in the project’s path toward a Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS), with drilling set to resume post-Thanksgiving holiday.
RC25-001 intersected 64.0 metres at 1.24 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from surface, directly beneath the existing North Pit, including standout high-grade zones of 1.52m at 3.17g/t from 3.05m, 1.52m at 5.68g/t from 30.48m, and 7.66m at 3.16g/t from 53.34m.
Complementing this, RC25-004 delivered an impressive broad intercept of 132.58m at 0.95g/t from 3.05m, incorporating 3.05m at 3.25g/t from 27.43m and a peak 3.05m at 7.09g/t from 112.8m.
Both holes outperformed the grades in the Indicated blocks they traversed, per the project’s JORC 2012-compliant resource of 27.1 million tonnes at 1.26g/t for 1.1 million ounces of gold, where 736,000 ounces are Measured and Indicated.
Located in the prolific Walker Lane Trend — home to major deposits like the 6.5 million ounce Castle Mountain mine — Colosseum boasts a storied production history spanning 1923 to 1992, yielding over 344,000 ounces from open-pit and underground operations by companies including Barrick Gold.
Less than 10km north of the Mountain Pass REE mine, the project also harbours untapped REE potential, with targeted drilling programs in planning under experts like Dr Anthony Mariano.
An economic assessment pegs a net present value of US$550 million and a 61 per cent internal rate of return at US$2,900 per ounce of gold, amid today’s spot price hovering around US$4,224 per ounce.
Dateline’s intensified program, involving multiple RC and diamond rigs, follows prior successes like an 85m gold intercept in November and geophysical ranking of six breccia pipe targets, with anomalies extending to 900m depth.
The company, trading at $0.25 per share as of early December amid a 7,000 per cent yearly surge, remains fully funded for BFS completion.
