Rox Resources has secured commitments for AU$350 million in debt facilities to fund the development of its Youanmi gold project in Western Australia.
The company entered into binding credit-approved commitment letter from a syndicate comprising of major banks for AU$300 million project term loan facility, AU$20 million cost overrun facility and AU$30 million bank guarantee facility.
The financing and equity funding in December 2025 leaves the Youanmi project fully funded through to production. Financial close and first debt draw down is expected in the September quarter of 2026.
Phill Wilding, CEO of Rox Resources, said the commitment of debt funding from several global banks is another major milestone for the company.
“The debt funding process included a thorough due diligence process by the banks’ independent technical expert, which provides further validation of the robustness of Youanmi and our expectation that it will be a high-margin operation,” the CEO said.
“The project is now fully funded through to production, and we look forward to making a final investment decision later this quarter, before commencing construction activities.”
The financing terms were competitive with no restrictions or financial penalty for early repayment and no mandatory hedging requirements. The syndicate banks provided a secured hedging facility should Rox Resources need future discretionary hedging.
The Youanmi gold project is located near Mt Magnet and hosts a global mineral resource of 12.1 million tonnes at 5.6 grams per tonne for 2.2 million ounces of gold.
