Torque Metals Ltd. has intercepted two new high-grade gold zones outside existing resource boundaries at its Paris gold project, located in the South Kalgoorlie region in Western Australia.
The initial results from the company’s growth-focused diamond drilling program delivered high-grade extensional intercepts at both the Observation and HHH deposits, delivering early progress for Torque’s newly implemented RPM Strategy or Rapid Path to one Million ounces.
At the Observation deposit, the first diamond drill-hole completed beneath the current mineral resource sstimate (MRE) returned 2.7 metres at 5.20 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 201.2 metres down-hole, including a high-grade interval of 0.4 metres at 29.97 g/t gold.
Marking the deepest intercept recorded at Observation, the drill hole intersected a sub-vertical lode featuring geological attributes similar to the primary Paris deposit.
At the neighbouring HHH deposit, extensional drilling tested approximately 70 metres down-plunge below the existing MRE, returning 1 metre at 20.90 g/t gold from 253.13 metres, including 0.6 metres at 33.76 g/t gold. Subsequent down-hole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveying identified a strong new conductor plate directly below the intercept. Historical data across the project shows a greater than 90 per cent correlation between DHEM conductors and gold mineralisation.
Torque CEO Craig Jones said: “These exciting discoveries of new high-grade zones represent an outstanding start to the next phase of resource growth at the Paris Gold Project.
“At Observation, the first diamond hole drilled beneath the current MRE has intersected what appears to be a new mineralised lode with similar geological characteristics to those seen at the larger Paris Deposit along strike.”
Drilling remains ongoing across Observation, HHH, and Paris, with heritage surveys scheduled this quarter to clear additional regional targets ahead of exploration drilling later in 2026.
“These results reinforce our view that considerable value remains to be unlocked across the broader Paris Gold Camp – potential which the new leadership team identified when we first undertook our due diligence on Torque and the Paris Gold Project before joining the company earlier this year,” Jones said.
