AUSTRALIA — Victory Metals Limited (ASX: VTM) has announced a significant milestone in its North Stanmore Project, located north of Cue, Western Australia.
The company’s recent ionic clay heavy rare earth and scandium discovery has garnered recognition from the Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA), solidifying its position as a world-class find.
The North Stanmore Project has yielded a substantial ionic clay deposit rich in heavy rare earth elements (HREE), which are crucial for the production of critical technologies supporting the clean energy transition.
Additionally, the project has revealed significant scandium resources, essential for developing lightweight and durable aluminium alloys used in various high-tech industries.
Professor Ken Collarson, Victory Metals’ Technical Director and renowned geoscientist, was invited by the GSWA to present a technical overview of the scandium discovery at the North Stanmore Project.
This presentation provided valuable insights into the project’s potential and its significance in the rare earth sector.
The recognition from GSWA underscores the importance of collaboration between industry and government in promoting Western Australia as a premier destination for exploration investment.
The insights shared by Victory Metals will help partners like GSWA refine mapping and geoscience data acquisition, potentially leading to future opportunities and discoveries in the region.
Ionic clay deposits, such as those found at the North Stanmore Project, are gaining increased recognition for their high potential.
Western Australia is emerging as a promising region for these critical resources, positioning itself at the forefront of the global rare earth market.
Brendan Clark, CEO of Victory Metals, expressed the company’s pride in receiving recognition from the GSWA.
He stated: “We are honoured by the Geological Survey Department of Western Australia’s recognition of our clay-hosted heavy rare earth project as world-class.
