Forrestania Resources has awarded a AU$145 million open pit mining contract to MEGA Resources for the development and operation of its Johnson Range Project in Western Australia.
The two-year contract marks a transition for the company as it moves from project planning into full execution in the WA mining sector.
Under the terms of the agreement, MEGA Resources will manage the complete scope of open pit mining operations.
The contractor’s responsibilities encompass drill and blast services, load and haul activities for ore and waste, road construction, mine site infrastructure development, and ongoing operational support services throughout the life of the two-year campaign.
Forrestania Resources selected MEGA based on its technical expertise, operational capability, and fleet capacity to deliver an integrated mining solution while maintaining cost discipline, operational flexibility, and strict environmental and safety standards.
Forrestania Executive Chairman David Geraghty described the contract award as a milestone in the company’s broader growth strategy.

Mobilisation of mining equipment and personnel to the Western Australian site will begin as soon as final project readiness activities are completed.
