A quick snapshot from the Brisbane 2024 edition
Besides Western Australia, Queensland is also one of the world’s richest mineral producing area with major deposits of copper, lead, zinc, nickel, cobalt, tungsten, graphite and vanadium, as well as silver, phosphate and rare earths. Hence Brisbane was a clear choice to expand this conference series within Australia.
With the support of partners such as Women in Sustainable Energy and Resources (WISER), the Brisbane event featured State and Federal government speakers such as Hon Scott Stewart, Minister for Resources and Critical Minerals (Government of Queensland) and Senator Susan McDonald, Shadow Minister for Resources and Northern Australia. Attendees from both private sector and academia across the energy and mining sector in QLD were also well represented at this event.
