AUSTRALIA — Zenith Minerals Limited (ASX: ZNC) has announced the start of a new drilling program at its Dulcie Far North (DFN) Gold Project in Western Australia’s Southern Cross region.
The company aims to expand its existing gold resource and potentially develop a standalone processing hub.
The Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling campaign will cover approximately 2,400 metres across 17 holes, with an average depth of 150 metres each.
This program targets high-potential gold zones at Dulcie Far North, focusing on infill and step-out drilling to test key areas for resource expansion.
- Current Resource: The DFN Gold Project holds a Maiden Inferred Mineral Resource of 3.3 million tonnes at 1.4 g/t gold, equating to 150,000 ounces.
- Previous Results: High-grade gold intersections have been reported, including 5m @ 10.6 g/t Au from 91 metres and 3 metres @ 10.7 g/t Au from 103 metres.
- Regulatory Approvals: Zenith has secured all necessary permissions, including Programme of Work (POW) approval and completed heritage surveys.
Andrew Smith, Managing Director of Zenith Minerals, emphasised the significance of this drilling campaign: “We are excited to commence this new phase of drilling at Dulcie Far North, a cornerstone of our exploration efforts.
“This drilling aims to significantly increase the size of the resource potentially providing the critical mass to develop a standalone processing plant and enable us to capitalise on the strong gold price environment.”
The DFN Gold Project is situated in the highly prospective Southern Cross region, known for its rich gold endowment exceeding 10 million ounces.
Zenith Minerals sees potential for Dulcie Far North to become a centralised processing hub, leveraging its strategic location and growing resource base.
As Zenith Minerals progresses with this drilling program, investors and industry observers will be keenly watching for results that could significantly enhance the project’s value and advance it towards development.
