Alkane Resources Ltd. has discovered new zones of gold mineralisation as part of its drilling program at its Tomingley Gold operations in New South Wales.
The company said its underground drilling revealed a second mineralised andesite with significant gold mineralisation at the McLeans deposit and continued high-grade results from Roswell’s Western Monzodiorite domain.
Alkane Managing Director Nic Earner said: “Most of Tomingley’s deposits are open at depth and along strike. This drilling further demonstrates not only the significant resource expansion potential across the mine site but also the potential to discover other deposits.”
“Our underground and surface drill programs throughout Tomingley continue. We look forward to continuing to add further resources and mine life.”
Tomingley is an open pit and underground mining development with one million tonnes per annum processing facility that has been in operations since 2014.
Development at the development has been based on the Wyoming One, Wyoming Three, Caloma, Caloma Two and Roswell gold deposits.
The company completed nine diamond drill holes, totalling 3,247 metres and focused on the McLeans and Western Monzodiorite deposits within Tomingley.
Alkane plans additional exploration drilling to test the underground potential at Wyoming Three, extensions to mineralisation north of Caloma and a deep structural target beneath Roswell.
