Forrestania Resources has surpassed the one-million-ounce benchmark following an updated deposit estimate at its Coolgardie gold hub in Western Australia.
The company announced a JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate (MRE) for its MacPhersons deposit totalling 2 million tonnes at 1.15 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold, yielding 73,800 ounces at a 0.5 g/t cut-off.
By category, the newly defined resource includes 5,800 ounces in the Measured classification, 31,100 ounces Indicated, and 36,900 ounces Inferred.
The addition boosts Forrestania’s global JORC-compliant gold inventory to 25.69 million tonnes at 1.22 g/t gold, for an aggregate of 1,007,800 ounces.
Forrestania Resources Chairman David Geraghty said the milestone caps off a one-year period of corporate growth.
“Importantly, this update sees Forrestania surpass the one-million-ounce milestone. Reaching this benchmark through targeted M&A and focussed resource development over the last 12 months is a remarkable achievement and reflects the continued execution of our growth strategy,” Geraghty said.
“Together with our recent resource upgrades and acquisitions, this growing resource base strengthens our position as an emerging Australian gold company and provides a solid foundation from which to pursue future development opportunities and create long-term value for shareholders.”
Geologically, the MacPhersons deposit is contained within an intrusive tonalite unit wedged between ultramafic and basaltic rock.
Gold mineralisation is structural, having been injected into a shallow-plunging, brittle fracture network that formed a natural fluid trap.
Higher grades are consistently observed proximal to the ultramafic boundary, a theory supported by regional data from the nearby Kneecap prospect.
The project area boasts a proven production pedigree. Beacon Minerals operated the site as the MacPhersons Reward Gold Mine between October 2023 and February 2026, successfully extracting 28,604 ounces of gold at an average grade of 1.29 g/t.
Forrestania will use the fresh baseline data to plan its next stage of resource expansion and engineering studies across the Coolgardie hub.
