Intra Energy Corporation Limited (ASX: IEC) has announced the discovery of significant high-grade gold assays at its Maggie Hays Hill Project, located within the prolific Lake Johnston Greenstone Belt in Western Australia.
Recent exploration activities, including rock chip sampling conducted in March and April, have revealed additional mineralised quartz reefs, extending the known mineralisation with impressive gold assays.
Continuous mapping efforts have identified three separate quartz reefs, each extending over 250 metres in length, with peak gold assay results reaching up to 7.6 g/t.
The exploration team has also defined two large-scale gold anomalies through soil sampling, stretching up to 1,500 metres in length, indicating widespread mineralisation.
Following the acquisition of necessary heritage clearances and drilling permits, the company plans to commence drilling activities by mid-June 2024.
IEC Managing Director, Ben Dunn, commented on the advancement, stating: “The Board is pleased with how quickly Todd Hibberd’s exploration program has advanced the Maggie Hays Hill project to compelling drill targets for both gold and lithium.
“We are now working to obtain the necessary permits and heritage clearances, and intend to be drilling by mid-June, subject to approvals. Todd has conducted a comprehensive exploration program and now has designed a drill campaign that will thoroughly test the identified targets.
“We believe exciting times are close at hand for IEC’s loyal shareholders as the next phase of exploration commences.”
