Redcastle Resources Ltd. has received a major boost for its production pipeline, as high-grade drilling results from its Redcastle gold project in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia support its active mining strategy.
The latest assay results stem from additional grade-control reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Redcastle Reef deposit and infill drilling at the adjacent Queen Alexandra deposit. The findings strongly support the company’s dual-deposit growth strategy, which is running in tandem with active open-cut mining operations.
Mining is currently underway at Redcastle Reef under the Redcastle-BML Ventures Joint Venture, with BML Ventures acting as the project operator.
The additional drilling at Redcastle Reef targeted shallow lode positions to map local grade distribution at the western edge of the active mining area.
Headlining the shallow hits was drill hole BMRC444, which returned a stellar seven metres at 4.63 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from just nine metres, including a premium one-metre intersection grading 25.5 g/t gold. Other notable shallow results included five metres at 3.82 g/t gold from 13 metres and two metres at 4.92 g/t gold right from the surface.
Meanwhile, infill drilling at Queen Alexandra successfully confirmed the presence of a stacked, structurally controlled lode system, with highlights including three metres at 5.80 g/t gold from 58 metres.
The company believes these results indicate deeper mineralisation potential ahead of pending assays from a recently completed 8,810-metre QA grade-control program.
Redcastle Chairman Ray Shaw said the results reinforce the company’s strategy of developing the two projects simultaneously.
“Together, the current Redcastle Reef mining activities and the potential development of Queen Alexandra could establish a more substantial revenue base capable of funding ongoing exploration, resource growth and project advancement across Redcastle, the TBone Belt and the Kilkenny Belt with reduced dependence on external capital,” Shaw said.
The company maintains that both deposits form the foundational pillars of a broader, highly prospective west-east mineralised corridor, which also encompasses the Redcastle Reef West and Morgan’s Castle East prospects.
Redcastle will appraise the western 300 metre strike extension at Redcastle Reef in light of the latest drilling results and geological data obtained from mining operations.
The company will also receive and validate material assay results from the completed 8,810 metre QA grade-control programme and assess any requirement to extend the grade control coverage area.
