Titan Minerals Ltd. has announced a significant boost to its Dynasty gold project in southern Ecuador, reporting a 25 per cent increase in gold resources following a highly successful year of expansion drilling.
The updated mineral resource estimate (MRE) now stands at 65.6 million tonnes at 1.85 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold and 12.38 g/t silver, representing a total of 3.9 million ounces of gold and 26.1 million ounces of silver.
The growth was driven primarily by the Cerro Verde deposit, where contained gold jumped by an impressive 41 per cent and contained silver rose 34 per cent.
The Australian explorer credited the upgrade to approximately 22,400 metres of diamond drilling completed since the maiden MRE in July 2023. This work confirmed strong depth continuity at the Brecha-Comanche prospect and identified extensive porphyry-hosted mineralisation at the Kaliman prospect.
The discovery cost for these new ounces averaged just US$6.30 per ounce, a result which Titan CEO Melanie Leighton creditedt to the company’s dedicated geology team in Ecuador.
“The MRE update features the addition of wide and high-grade depth extensions at the Brecha-Comanche prospect and extensive zones of porphyry hosted gold-silver mineralisation at the Kaliman prospect,” Leighton said.
“What’s even more exciting is that Mineral Resources remain open and have substantial room to grow.”
The project benefits from favourable logistics and accessibility. Several processing facilities in the region are amenable to processing Dynasty oxide ores, representing a potential low-cost start-up operation to generate early cash flow and access to funding to build out a long-life, large-scale mining operation.
In addition, the Dynasty combined MRE sits across three mineral concessions, all approved for small-scale mining.
With the resource update finalised, Titan is moving straight into a 30,000-metre drilling campaign set to commence March 23.
This next phase will target further resource growth and the conversion of inferred ounces into higher confidence categories.
