Victory Metals’ North Stanmore heavy rare earth project in Western Australia has been included in the official Australian Critical Minerals Prospectus, administered by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade).
The government-led investment platform showcases shovel-ready Australian critical minerals projects directly to international investors, financiers, strategic partners, and off-take buyers.
The inclusion gives Victory Metals a globally recognised channel to promote North Stanmore’s advanced development status and its potential to supply heavy rare earths to markets outside China.
North Stanmore hosts critical heavy rare earths including dysprosium, terbium, and yttrium, materials essential for defence applications, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, and high-performance clean technologies.
The project is positioned to meet growing demand for independently sourced heavy rare earth products from Australia’s key global partners, including the United States, Japan, Europe, India, South Korea, and Vietnam.
Victory Metals CEO Brendan Clark noted the strategic importance of securing reliable supply chains for critical metals alongside international allies.
“The inclusion of North Stanmore in the Australian government’s Critical Minerals Prospectus is an important opportunity to showcase what we believe is one of Australia’s most compelling emerging heavy rare earth development projects,” Clark said.
He said North Stanmore offers a distinct advantage due to its unique mineralogy, established regional infrastructure, and straightforward extraction pathway.
Unlike many conventional rare earth assets, North Stanmore does not rely on complex, high-temperature mineral cracking processes. Instead, natural weathering of the orebody allows the project to produce a heavy rare earth enriched concentrate using standard beneficiation methods.
Victory Metals has already achieved several core commercialisation milestones, including completing its pre-feasibility Study, establishing a maiden Ore Reserve, securing a Mining Lease, and operating a pilot plant.
Clark expressed confidence that North Stanmore possesses the scale and processing profile required to play a meaningful role as Australia expands its capacity as a trusted global critical minerals exporter.
“Australia has an important opportunity to become a reliable long-term supplier of heavy rare earths to the world. We believe North Stanmore has the scale, mineralogy and development characteristics to play a meaningful role in that future.”
