NRW Holdings (ASX: NWH) recently announced significant developments in its operations. The company’s subsidiary, Golding Contractors Pty, has inked a variation to its existing mining services agreement with Jellinbah Mining Pty Ltd at the Jellinbah East coal mine in Queensland’s Bowen Basin.
This variation involves operating and maintaining an additional 600-tonne excavator and 220-tonne rear dump truck fleet for pre-strip overburden mining, expanding the agreement to include two 600-tonne mining fleets.
Valued at approximately $160 million, this variation is set to commence next month and will utilise the existing owned fleet, supplemented by hire equipment.
Furthermore, the subsidiary of NRW Holdings, Action Drill & Blast Pty Ltd, has secured several contracts in Queensland.
This includes blasthole drilling services for Batchfire Resources at the Callide mine, valued at around $52 million over five years.
This contract has already commenced and will employ approximately 40 personnel.
Additionally, there is a 12-month extension to the supply agreement with Dyno Nobel Asia Pacific Pty Ltd for a Bowen Basin mine, valued at $30 million.
A drilling services agreement for a central Queensland mine has been secured for three years, estimated at $28 million, based on agreed rates.
