MB Gold Ltd. has kicked off its Phase 2 reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Marble Bar gold project, located in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.
The approximately 6,000-metre drilling program will build upon successful outcomes from the company’s initial Phase 1 campaign.
Operations will focus on extending existing high-grade gold mineralisation and evaluating brand-new exploratory targets across the tenement package.
Key targets for the upcoming campaign include the Twin Veins and Twin Veins East prospects, where previous drilling yielded encouraging high-grade intersections.
Additionally, MB Gold will execute its maiden drill holes at the highly prospective Razorback Prospect, an area highlighted for its compelling historical results but remaining largely underexplored.
The RC drilling initiative is scheduled to run over six to seven weeks. MB Gold plans to release assay results in periodic updates as data becomes available from the laboratory throughout and following the program.
“The commencement of Phase 2 drilling marks another step forward for MB Gold,” MB Gold CEO Logan Barber said.
“We are extremely excited to be back on the ground, following up on the high-grade hits from our successful Phase 1 campaign at Twin Veins and Twin Veins East.”
Barber noted that testing Razorback represented a major milestone for the company’s ongoing exploration strategy.
“Equally exciting is the start of first-pass drilling at Razorback, a highly prospective area with compelling historical results that has been underexplored to date in our view,” he said.
“The Phase 2 program will move our strategy to drive discovery and resource delineation forward, and we look forward to releasing results as they become available.”
The Marble Bar project remains central to MB Gold’s growth strategy as it seeks to define and expand its resource base within the mineral-rich Pilbara Craton.
The project boasts a 12-kilometre strike length of gold-in-soil geochemical anomalies. Existing drill intercepts have already returned positive gold results.
