New Murchison Gold Ltd. has reported strong production at its Crown Prince gold mine in October following the completion of the project’s ramp-up phase.
The mine produced over 60,000 dry tonnes of ore at a grade of 3.95 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold produced in October. The ore was delivered to Westgold Resources Ltd.’s Bluebird gold processing facility.
Mining operations are performing strongly and NMG’s operations team and contractors are underpinning the stability of the operation.
New Murchison Gold CEO Alex Passmore said the mine’s second month of operations exceeded expectations and sets a strong foundation for its production in November.
“We are very pleased with the successful delivery of our first mine, and while retaining focus on ongoing operations, the company is now able to refocus our exploration effort to support future opportunities,” the CEO said.
New Murchison Gold delivered 7,285 ounces to Bluebird as part of the ore purchase agreement between the company and Westgold. The related ore sales payment is due at the end of November.
The company reported on-site inventory of approximately 37,900 tonnes of run-of-mine ore and around 11,000 tonnes of crushed high-grade product that is ready for processing.
