New Murchison Gold Ltd. has updated the mineral resource estimate (MRE) at its Garden Gully gold project in Western Australia’s prolific Murchison goldfield.
The project’s global resource has surged by 47 per cent, expanding the total remaining resource to 4.42 million tonnes (Mt) at 2.5 grams per tonne (g/t) gold for 359,000 ounces of contained gold.
The update represents a 29 per cent increase over the November 2024 estimate, or a 47 per cent total increase when factoring in reconciled production mining up to April 1.
The combined Measured and Indicated categories now account for 71 per cent of the global project ounces. This high-confidence classification ensures excellent local grade predictability for near-term mine planning at the operation.
The resource expansion was driven by a 738-hole infill and extensional drilling campaign, alongside the inclusion of maiden resource inventories for the Lydia and Abbotts deposits.
Lydia debuted with a maiden MRE of 55,000 ounces at 1.78 g/t gold, while Abbotts added 44,000 ounces at 1.75 g/t gold.
Growth was also recorded at core assets. The active Crown Prince hub contains a high-grade Open Pit Measured Resource of 39,000 ounces at 3.83 g/t gold, offering immediate, low-risk mill feed. Additionally, the Cloudkicker deposit added 31,000 ounces, with 80 per cent classified as Indicated.
Operational economics are highly favourable, as both Cloudkicker and Lydia sit within 800 metres of the active Crown Prince hub.
This close proximity allows NMG to fast-track these satellite assets using existing haul roads, site facilities, and current personnel, eliminating infrastructure drag and lowering development capital.
Primary mineralisation across the Abbotts Greenstone Belt remains open along strike and at depth.
New Murchison Gold plans to use the updated figures to underpin ongoing open-pit and underground feasibility studies, while continuing extensional drilling to further expand the golden footprint.
