Golden Horse Minerals has announced additional high-grade gold intercepts and a significant northern strike extension at its Hopes Hill Project in Western Australia, garnering confidence in the deposit’s size and potential.
Latest results from the Central Zone have returned standout assays, including drill hole GHHHRC0055R, which yielded 15 metres at 3.4 g/t Au from 165 metres, within a broader 23 metres at 2.3 g/t Au from 164 metres.
Hole GHHHRC0056 intercepted 3.0 metres at 8.4 g/t Au from 222 metres, part of a wider 11 metres at 2.5 g/t Au from 221 metres, while GHHHRC0058 returned 11 metres at 2.4 g/t Au from 152 metres, including 8.0 metres at 3.1 g/t Au.
Importantly, these new results were generated below previously modelled lower-grade zones.
GHHHRC0055R was drilled beneath an area initially thought to be less prospective, as referenced in the company’s earlier ASX release.
Drilling at the Northern Extension has also returned promising results, with hole GHHHRC0052 intersecting 11 metres at 1.4 g/t Au from 210 metres to end of hole, and GHHHRC0051 reporting 9 metres at 1.2 g/t Au from 146 metres and 14 metres at 1.0 g/t Au from 202 metres.
These results extend mineralisation along strike and at depth beyond the limits of the currently defined open pit.
Golden Horse says further reverse circulation holes with deeper diamond tails are being planned to explore deeper mineralisation and the down-plunge continuation of the main orebody.
This work, funded from a recent capital raising, is scheduled to begin this quarter.
Down hole electromagnetic (EM) surveys are due to commence mid-July to identify off-hole conductors, enhancing drill targeting accuracy informed by a new structural model.
Commenting on the results, Golden Horse Managing Director Nicholas Anderson said: “Our latest results continue to demonstrate the significant potential of Hopes Hill, with broad zones of mineralisation encountered at depth as well as along strike.
“In particular, holes GHHHRC0055R and GHHHRC0058 have intercepted strong grades beneath existing drilling, emphasising the strength of our geological model which interprets a highly prospective, south-plunging ore body.
“This exciting discovery is complemented with further strong grades found in the northern zone which hint at the potential for further extensions.
“Diamond drilling and EM surveying are planned in this northern zone to increase our understanding of this emerging area.”
