Zenith Minerals Limited (ASX:ZNC) has announced encouraging results from its ongoing drilling program at the Dulcie Far North (DFN) Gold Project in Western Australia’s Southern Cross region.
The company’s latest update reveals significant gold intercepts that support the potential for substantial growth and development at the site.
Key highlights from the drilling program include:
- Hole SRRC029: 9 metres at 1.49 g/t Au from 31 metres, including 1 metre at 8.39 g/t Au
- Hole SRRC026: 8 metres at 1.23 g/t Au from 61 metres, including 1 metre at 7.18 g/t Au, and 5 metres at 2.61 g/t Au from 78 metres
- Hole SRRC027: 3 metres at 2.18 g/t Au from 134 metres
Exploration Manager at Zenith Minerals Chris Shanley expressed optimism about the results, stating that they align well with the company’s geological model for Dulcie Far North.
The findings not only confirm the presence of gold mineralisation but also provide greater confidence in the continuity of the mineralised structures.
The current drilling program, which commenced on October 8, 2024, initially planned for 17 holes, each approximately 150 metres deep.
It aims to expand known mineralisation and explore untested areas to drive project growth.
Zenith’s exploration strategy at DFN reflects a long-term vision aimed at supporting the development of a standalone processing plant.
The project’s location within the Southern Cross/Forrestania Greenstone Belt positions it as a strategic asset with potential access to regional gold processing facilities.
The company is focusing on infill drilling to improve confidence in the existing resource estimate and step-out drilling targeting extensions along strike and at depth.
This approach is designed to build upon the current Maiden Inferred Mineral Resource of 3.4 million tonnes at 1.4 g/t Au, containing an estimated 150,000 ounces of gold.
As the drilling program progresses, Zenith anticipates receiving additional assay results in the coming weeks.
These results will guide the remaining phases of drilling and future resource evaluations, potentially leading to a significant development phase for the Dulcie Far North Project.
The positive outcomes from this drilling campaign support Zenith Minerals’ broader strategy to advance its flagship projects, including Dulcie Far North in Western Australia and Red Mountain in Queensland.
