OD6 Metals Ltd. has completed the acquisition of the high-grade Quinn fluorspar project in Nevada, US, establishing control over one of the largest consolidated fluorspar exploration positions in North America.
The acquisition was executed through OD6’s wholly owned subsidiary, U.S. Fluorspar LLC, following a four-month due diligence period and shareholder approval.
Total consideration paid to the vendor comprised AU$100,000 in cash and 700,706 fully paid ordinary OD6 shares valued at AU$100,000, alongside 1.5 million shares issued to Sapphire Beginnings Capital as facilitation consideration.
Alongside the original 48 claims acquired, OD6 has staked an additional 178 mining claims in the surrounding region. The company now holds 226 mining claims covering approximately 1,890 hectares across seven project areas, confirming an eight-kilometre mineralised corridor containing more than 20 recorded fluorspar occurrences.
The transaction positions OD6 to target domestic demand in the US, which is currently 100 per cent dependent on fluorspar imports for critical applications across semiconductors, battery technologies, defence, and hydrofluoric acid production.
“What began as an acquisition opportunity has rapidly evolved into what we believe is a district-scale critical minerals project,” said OD6 Managing Director Brett Hazelden.
“During the option period we not only confirmed exceptional historical grades but expanded the project almost fivefold, identified multiple new mineralised systems, advanced permitting and metallurgy, and generated numerous high-priority drill targets.
“Combined with ongoing exploration success, metallurgy and permitting activities, the company is now transitioning from acquisition to systematic resource definition and project development.”
Beneficiation testwork is progressing to evaluate optical sorting methods for producing high-purity acidspar and metspar products.
OD6 has also initiated environmental baseline studies and permitting frameworks to support bulk sampling and an upcoming maiden drilling campaign.
