Resolution Minerals has confirmed a discovery of near-surface gold mineralisation at Golden Gate South, part of its 100 per cent owned Horse Heaven Antimony-Tungsten-Gold-Silver Project in Idaho, USA, as part of its 2026 drill program.
Gold mineralisation was intersected in all three diamond core drill holes for which assay results have been reported, extending the known mineralised footprint at least 2,000 metres south from Golden Gate North to Golden Gate South.
Assays have now been received for drill holes HH-GG26-001C, HH-GG26-002C and HH-GG26-003C, each drilled as fan-holes from a single platform at the southern end of Golden Gate South.
The standout result came from HH-GG26-003C, which returned 305.7 metres at 0.64 grams per tonne gold from surface, including a higher-grade zone of 6.5 metres at 1.33 grams per tonne gold from 62 metres downhole.
The same hole also returned 24.2 metres at 0.77 grams per tonne gold, 17.25 metres at 1.19 grams per tonne gold and further intervals exceeding 25 metres at grades above 0.8 grams per tonne gold.
HH-GG26-002C returned 32.6 metres at 0.49 grams per tonne gold from surface and a broader zone of 87.87 metres at 0.52 grams per tonne gold, including higher-grade sections of 18.75 metres at 0.60 grams per tonne gold and 37.42 metres at 0.72 grams per tonne gold.
HH-GG26-001C intersected 49.5 metres at 0.58 grams per tonne gold from surface, along with 13.39 metres at 0.44 grams per tonne gold at depth, including a higher-grade interval of 24.64 metres at 0.78 grams per tonne gold.
Further assay results are pending and will be released progressively as they become available.
Craig Lindsay, Resolution’s CEO of US Operations, said the results strengthened the company’s confidence in the continuity of mineralisation across the project area.
“Our exploration team is extremely encouraged by these three discovery holes at Golden Gate South, which provide additional support to our view that mineralisation extends continuously from Golden Gate South to Golden Gate North, potentially representing a very significant gold discovery along the Golden Gate Fault Zone,” said Lindsay.
He added: “With 28 additional holes in process at the lab, RML expects to see an increased pace of drill results released to the market.”
All three reported holes were designed to test the southern extension of the Golden Gate Shear Zone, which at this location sits within sheared and faulted Cretaceous granodiorite of the Idaho Batholith.
Drill orientations were varied to help the company evaluate the geometry and geological controls of the target zone.
Hole placement and design drew on several independent datasets, including gold and tungsten anomalies from a 2021 soil geochemical survey, sampling of mineralised surface outcrops, and geophysical responses identified through a 2022 controlled source audio frequency magnetotelluric survey.
The 2026 Golden Gate drill program comprises up to 13,700 metres of diamond core drilling across as many as 45 holes, aimed at defining the scale and extent of tungsten and gold mineralisation at Golden Gate.
Drilling began at Golden Gate South and will later move north.
The project sits immediately adjacent to Perpetua Resources’ recently permitted Stibnite Gold Project.
To date, 33 diamond core holes totalling approximately 9,700 metres have been drilled and completed at Golden Gate, with a further 28 holes logged and submitted for laboratory assay.
The timeline for the 2026 program has been extended to mid-September to allow the company to complete all planned holes.
Subsequent drilling has targeted both gold and tungsten mineralisation, including a significant tungsten in soil anomaly identified at Golden Gate South.
