Tivan Ltd. has completed the acquisition of the Molyhil tungsten-molybdenum project in the Northern Territory.
The acquisition expands Tivan’s portfolio into high-value critical minerals, tungsten and molybdenum, which are used in the defence, automotive, semiconductor and clean energy sectors.
Molyhil is located 220 kilometres northeast of Alice Springs and adjacent to Tivan’s Sandover fluorite project.
Molyhil hosts a mineral resource estimated at 4.647 million tonnes at 0.26 per cent tungsten trioxide and 0.09 per cent molybdenum for 12,100 tonnes of tungsten trioxide and 4,400 tonnes of molybdenum.
Tivan’s acquisition of all tenements in the project from Investigator Silver Ltd. and Thor Energy Plc. amounted to a total consideration of AU$8.75 million, comprised of initial cash payments of AU$3.5 million and deferred payments totalling AU$5.25 million.
Tivan Executive Chairman Grant Wilson said: “Molyhill will become an iconic Territorian project, anchoring Tivan’s critical minerals precinct in central Australia.”
Investigator Silver’s divestment of its 25 per cent interest in Molyhill represents continued portfolio rationalisation, which frees up capital to advance its Paris silver project.
Investigator Silver Manager Director Lachlan Wallace said: “The transaction crystallises value from a non-core asset and further sharpens our focus on precious metals, with the Paris silver project at the centre of our efforts.”
Tivan said it is rapidly advancing development planning for the project, including a drilling program scheduled for March that targets new areas of mineralisation and resource expansion.
An initial drill program of 13 drillholes for 1,950 metres is planned across four drill targets for tungsten on EL22349.
Tivan is targeting the commencement of the exploration drilling in March, with a broader drilling campaign to support project development scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.
The company has completed a preliminary commercial assessment, supporting a scoping study targeted for completion in April, ahead of a pre-feasibility study.
Tivan has also completed an independent review of the existing mineral resource, designed a preliminary metallurgical test work program to assess processing and optimisation opportunities and support flowsheet development.
Tivan has progressed a community development proposal in the Harts Range region with the Central Land Council and aims to finalise athe greement in the first quarter.
