On 25 March 2021, the Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA) will release final data from the Earaheedy–Desert block of the TEMPEST 20 kilometre line-spacing survey.
The survey was conducted between October 2020 and January 2021 as part of the GSWA and Geoscience Australia AusAEM20-WA survey program.
Data will be available for download via GSWA’s GeoVIEW.WA interactive mapping application on and after the release date. Search in the Government Airborne Surveys layer for registration number 71636.
A complete data package will also be available from Geoscience Australia’s eCatalogue at ecat.ga.gov.au/geonetwork.
Funding for the acquisition of the data was from the Western Australian Government’s COVID-19 Recovery Plan, which provided an additional $5 million to the Exploration Incentive Scheme.
Data from the remaining blocks of the AusAEM20-WA program will be released as they become available.
Previously released TEMPEST blocks include the 71586 East Yilgarn and 71635 Eastern Goldfields.
