Lodestar Minerals Ltd. has confirmed mineralisation in the first batch of samples from its drilling campaign at the Ned’s Creek gold project in Western Australia.
The company is currently halfway through a 10,000-metre reverse circulation (RC) drilling program designed to underpin a maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE), expected in late 2026.
To date, 48 holes have been completed for over 6,000 metres, with the rig now moving from the Gidgee Flat prospect to exploratory targets and the high-priority Contessa and Central Park prospects.
The first batch of assays from hole LNRC110 has delivered promising high-grade results, including nine metres at 1.27 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 32 metres, with a standout intercept of one metre at 6.55 g/t gold.
Deeper into the fresh rock, the drill bit intersected 15 metres at 1.46 g/t gold from 151 metres, including a two-metre zone grading 4.34 g/t gold.
The drilling has intersected wide zones of mineralisation exactly where the geological models predicted.
The company reported the presence of critical gold indicators, including hematite alteration, syenite intrusions, and quartz veining, all hallmarks of significant mineralised systems in the region.
“We are pleased to report drilling is advancing on schedule in what is a significant step toward establishing a maiden mineral resource estimate at the Ned’s Creek Gold Project later in 2026,” said Lodestar CEO Coraline Blaud.
“This combined with the intersection of the mineralised shear zone at anticipated locations is encouraging, and we are looking forward to reporting the following assays as they come to hand.”
The Ned’s Creek project is located in a proven gold-producing province. It sits in proximity to the Plutonic gold mine and is within feasible trucking distance of the Blue Bird processing plant near Meekatharra, providing a potential pathway to production.
The drilling campaign still has 46 holes to be drilled and assays are pending for over 2,600 samples.
If the remaining results mirror the initial success at Gidgee Flat, the company will be well-placed to deliver a substantial maiden resource and secure its position in the WA gold sector.
