Manuka Resources Ltd. has received its first gold revenues following the restart of processing operations at its Wonawinta facility in New South Wales.
The first gold revenues marks a major operational milestone for the company, establishing recurring revenue generation as the plant ramps up metal production.
Processing of gold-bearing ore sourced from Manuka’s Mt Boppy project recommenced in August, maintaining five consecutive weeks of consistent plant operations.
The Wonawinta processing facility is currently ramping up throughput of Mt Boppy run-of-mine and rock dump material toward a target rate of 1,750 tonnes per day.
Feed grades are averaging approximately one gram per tonne gold, with metallurgical recoveries sitting at roughly 75 per cent and continuing to improve.
With gold inventory steadily building on carbon within the leach circuit, Manuka expects to establish a regular fortnightly shipping and sales cycle. The next gold dispatch is scheduled for mid-October.
Based on current feed grades, recovery rates, and a gold price assumption of AU$6,000 per ounce, Manuka forecasts fortnightly gold revenues to range between AU$3 million and AU$4 million through to the end of 2026. The company will report sales and key plant operational metrics on a monthly basis throughout the ramp-up phase.
Manuka Resources Executive Chairman Dennis Karp said the first gold sale represents an essential initial phase in the company’s broader production strategy.
“Manuka is building a long-life precious metals production business in the Cobar Basin, centred on our Wonawinta processing facility and our 100% owned various sources of gold and silver mill feed,” Karp said.
“This first gold sale is an important step in delivering on that strategy. We have now moved from restarting the metallurgical plant to producing gold, generating revenue and establishing recurring cash inflows from the operation.”
Installation of new crushing and deslime circuits for silver processing remains on track, with commissioning targeted between late 2026 and early 2027 to transition Wonawinta into a dual gold-silver producer.
