Right Resources Ltd. has identified gold for the first time using modern exploration techniques at its Blue Prospect, located within its Tumbarumba portfolio in southern New South Wales.
Systematic surface sampling, laboratory soil geochemistry, and geological mapping have confirmed gold mineralisation hosted within quartz and quartz-tourmaline veins.
The discovery expands the multi-element footprint of the Blue intrusive complex, which is interpreted to span more than 4.7 kilometres by 3.4 kilometres and remains open in all directions.
Rock-chip sampling returned gold grades of up to 1.19 grams per tonne (g/t) gold with 76 parts per million (ppm) bismuth, along with 0.81 g/t gold with 299 ppm bismuth and 0.40 g/t gold with 109 ppm bismuth.
Nine rock-chip samples returned strongly anomalous gold and bismuth values within a newly defined north-west structural corridor.
Right Resources Managing Director Graham Howard said the multi-element results provide a clear exploration vector for the project.
“The laboratory results have converted what was already a large surface tungsten anomaly into a clearly defined series of tungsten, bismuth and gold targets,” Howard said.
“The strong relationship between gold and bismuth gives us an important exploration vector. With surface grades of up to 1.19 grams per tonne gold and seven primary multi-element targets, we now have a clear framework for the next phase of work.”
Laboratory soil analysis defined strong north-west, east-north-east, and subsidiary north-east gold trends coincident with tungsten and bismuth anomalies.
The close spatial association between gold and bismuth supports the company’s interpretation that the Blue Prospect forms part of a large, reduced intrusion-related tungsten-gold system.
Right Resources is currently finalising approvals and target selections for its maiden drilling program at the Blue Prospect, which is targeted to commence in September.
The company will also continue geological mapping and surface sampling to further refine and expand the mineralised footprint.
